Separate the symptom from the layer.
A brighter, warmer, or sharper image is not automatically a better product result. The first task is to locate the decision that is actually moving the scene.
Color and reference
Illuminant choice, skin and neutral behavior, temporal consistency, preference, and calibration.
Texture and system
Noise, useful detail, sharpening, optics/module limits, framework behavior, and encoded output.
